Any new thing faces the force of inertia!  And that’s just a test! Use greater power and overcome it!  Tom Morris American Philosopher

It’s my 5 Year Anniversary on WordPress business account. Thank you all   for:  following this blog, liking a post and sharing your comments with me.  I hope you have enjoyed a number of takeaways.

Earlier today I wrote a piece for LinkedIn Publisher that explained that ethics is alive and well, the people who work in large corporations are just like you and me and want to do well, as well as lessons learned in this 21st Century.

Another quotation from the American Philosopher Tom Morris is:  Service puts others first.  And, ironically, it’s in the acts of service that we most often feel our best and become our best.

WordPress has had a philosophy and culture of service over the past five years that I have been a member.  Many of you also believe Service is important.   All the best to you this week as you Choose Who You Want to be Known As.

Why We Enjoy Lights at Year-End Holidays

Aside

Sony122015 071 AcrossFromChgoMillenniumParkThe solace it brings

to see the Light, no matter where we are in the world and no matter what year-end Holiday we celebrate, the Light is most important to us.

It is our humanity we wish to remember at this time of the year and I would like to share with you one of John O’Donohue’s poems, in his book, To Bless the Space Between Us.

May you listen to your longing to be free.  May the frames of your belongings be generous enough for your dreams.

May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart.  May you find a harmony between your soul and your life.

May the sanctuary of your soul never become haunted.  May you know the eternal longing that lives at the heart of time.

May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.  May you never place walls between the LIGHT and yourself.

May you allow the wild beauty of this invisible world to gather you, mind you, and embrace you in belonging.

Happy Holiday in the Lights you celebrate as you Choose Who You Want to be Known As.

A New 2016 Thanksgiving

A great challenge of life: Knowing enough to think you’re doing it right, but not enough to know you’re doing it wrong.  Neil deGrasse Tyson

I have never seen a photo of a Turkey in flight; of course birds fly, and it was whimsical to see the above photo of the majesty of a turkey in flight.  Since the American Thanksgiving holiday came to be in 1789 ,  we can reflect on positive history over our past generations.  Here are a few videos to listen to over this Holiday Weekend:

Thanksgiving music:   http://www.fuse.tv/2014/11/thanksgiving-music-playlist-ultimate#7

How our first President, George Washington handled the surrounding conflict as he set about organizing the First Thanksgiving celebration of our young Nation: http://www.wsj.com/video/opinion-journal-the-first-thanksgiving/1AD96C87-0CB2-45FA-A8F3-274CE8D7C096.html?mod=djemBestOfTheWebtha

Lastly, from Chicago, the Thanksgiving Day Parade – :http://www.chicagofestivals.org/

I hope you enjoy a new experience this Thanksgiving Holiday as you Choose Who You Want to be Known As.  Enjoy!

Today’s Daily Prompt Post: Transformation

Aside

IMG-20160609-00833

We each have our own separate mantras to get through the day.  I have both visual items and words of wisdom on my refrigerator.  It really depends on what your activities are because we often don’t pay attention to how we are transformed every day of our lives.  It happens because of the beauty we see; it happens because of the irritations that cross our paths – like another mosquito bite that causes an allergic reaction on your skin that lasts more than one week.

What I visually see is an unusual cactus plant that grows minimally.  Sometimes little buds poke out from a leaf and don’t grow,  No transformation even in the sunshine of morning light.  It’s been three years of ownership and two transplants – so perhaps the transformation is years in the making.  It becomes an exercise of patience – the little buds just stay where they are – so you keep waiting for nature to take its course.

IMG-20160609-00831A mantra that has been on my refrigerator for a few years..  It has a different interpretation of  the word transformation.   It is a reminder to keep the values of who you are close to as YOU Choose Who You Want to be Known As.

Enjoy your day.   “Jo Ann” M. Radja

Valentine Day Week Thoughts…

Aside

Valentine Week Thoughts. . .

After a lengthy meeting, we

Listen to comments from our Team,

Eager to put everything into perspective.

Now another opportunity presented itself

To try a different approach.

It’s what we wanted. Yet,

Now that it’s an agreed plan by all,

Everyone wants another meeting in an hour to
confirm the plan in writing.

Decisions are made daily.

And we learn to trust ourselves and others. . .

You too may learn to trust yourself and others as you
Choose Who You Want to be Known As this week.

Happy Valentine Week Thoughts! ©Jo Ann M. Radja
